I really appreciate the pictures that have been posted showing a our motors being re-built or the Wiseco kits being installed.

These motors can't have too many miles on them (<50K), but I was wondering about the carbon I've seen in the pictures.

Is the amount of carbon build-up normal or do these motors seem to have more than usual?

Just wondering..

The amount of carbon build up is dependant on a couple of factors.. grade of gasoline and driving habits.. Low quality fuel leaves more deposits as does low RPM operation or extended idle times such as operation in heavy traffic situations.
