I have had my triumph since 02 and I stripped it down from the begining. I installed some aftermarket turn signals and stripped off the front ones. Soon after everything stopped working. My horn, turn signals and brake light all seem to be done. I tried everything. First I thought maybe it was an open circuit problem, then I thought maybe the factory wiring was bad. FYI, My lights come on. I've tried reinstalling everything to stock but it still doesnt work. If anyone knows where I can get a wireing diagram or has had the same issue please respond.

I have checked the ground, and they worked for a week. I think I have a short somewhere but I don't know where to start.

There's a schematic in the electrical thread in the tech vault.

If you havent checked your fuse box yet check that. When I looked at mine it had lots of corrosion. A little dielectric grease might do the trick.

Ok, I posted in the thread you also started in the lounge.

Does the bike start and run ?????

Here's that post:

I've had a problem with a Speedmaster, which shares the same exact harness as the America. A problem that Triumph has had is the conectors pushing out of the fuse box. They look ok when you view them, but will make intermitant contact, causing you to go nuts at times.

I've replaced one harness on a bike under wnty, and ran an inline for the main power fuse on one that was no longer in coverage.

Remove the fuse box from it's mounts and see if you have a loose connection.

The wiring harness is pretty stressed behind the fuse box, so you need to check carefully that none of the conectors/ wires pull out from the block, the lock tabs are cheesey. Also look to see if the wires are pulled out of the actual metal conectors and hanging by a thread. You can also check to see if the system is being back fed with power. I've seen a chafed wire energize an entire bikes frame without drawing enough to pop a fuse. It's easy to check, just disconect the neg term from the battery, clip a test light on the ned term, and touch the probe to the frame where the harness is grounded. If it lights, your back feeding.......

I had one bike that was ok as long as the fuse block wasn't mounted. The second you would mount it, everything would crap out.

Good luck

Pete

Only in europe... Our 02s have a blank in that spot.

Check the wiring inside the headlight bucket. It can chafe and cause a short.
