I have been using the D404s since replacing the lousy Bridgestones. The dunlops are a really good tire at a great price. While shopping for a replacement 170/80-15 rear on multiple web sites I came across the best price for these tires I have ever seen. Rear: 69.50+14.00 shipping and front: 44.50+14.00 shipping. I have a local independent Triumph mechanic that recommends the Dunlops. Says they are a good balance of ride, traction and longevity. Cost tires mounted and balanced is less than $200. Sounds like the direction I'll go when I finally get enough wear out of the Bridgestones.

The wife, has the 404's front and rear, loves the ride and tracking.
So far I just have the front replaced to 404's, tracking is much improved.

Thanks for the tip. I was getting ready to buy Metzlers but for the $$ why not try the Dunlops?? Can't beat $142 (and now I finally get to try my new tire changing tool).
Quite frankly I think my Bridgestones behaved just fine (have 12k+ miles) but everyone badmouths them so much i figured I should try another brand. Next time I'll try Metzs.

Just put a 404 on the rear, $104 installed...ready for Angel city in April!!!!

I have Dunlops on America spoke wheels, the ones I have are a "tube type". They're a fine tire as mentioned, part of me still likes the grippy-sticky Avon Venoms  .
