I like to play a little pool, pitch horseshoes, hunt, fish, and live in the woods for a while. Oh yea, I just got two kayaks for the wife and I, this could become a new hobby.
Wow all my hobbies are relaxing, thats a good thing isn't it?

When I am not toying with the America, I am busy resurrecting an old 'zuki GS750. Hopefully, I'll have that done by May.

But, but, but, I just bought the Jeep! I've tried to sell the Porsches but nobody around here wants them, and in places where people do want them they can get them cheaper and in better condition. Someday I'll probably part them out and put the bits on ebay.

When time and money allow, I enjoy flying. it's getting a wee bit pricey renting a 172 now....but every now and then it's fun to fly up to Janesville WI for the "hundred dollar cheeseburger!!" Wish I had the time to do it more often.

Number one on the list is spending time with the kids. After that, hmmmm. I like to play pool, drink beer. I love to cook, and am on a seemingly endless search for the perfect calamari recipe. If you have a good recipe, send it my way!

Used to do RC airplanes, get 1/4 scaler, go to pawn shop and buy an old chainsaw, adapt motor to airplane, burn holes in the sky....got old, too many "issues" with club membership and all, ditched that and sold it all for triumph parts. Acquired 1972 T120, now in pieces, part time job dried up, no funds to refurbish....should pick up in next couple of weeks....Still play my Ibanez through the Rockman chorus and sustainer with stereo cranked playing "Boston greatest hits" and a six pack or so in me....

gentlemen farming,

How do you farm those? I might give it a try and sell the crop to the local single wimmin folk.

Buying a horse ranch seems to have branched out into a number of sub hobbies, some of which were entirely unexpected. I'm now looking into getting a roller to form strap metal and pipe, might start making round bale feeders along with planting my 2 pastures, putting up a chicken pen, building a fuel rack for the tractor, building an equipment shed, tracking alfalfa prices, filling rabbit holes so the horses won't fall in them, shooting rabbits so they won't dig holes and rob my victory garden, etc etc.

Let's see...after a 60 hour workweek, I usually will work on the weekends. But just maybe 8 hours. I refuse to work over 70 hours a week! If I'm lucky, some Sundays I do side work. On the rare occasion, I do have some free time on the weekend to do my new hobby, welding. It will all be done soon. Next year the business gets sold and I will take off a few months to attend all the rallys.

Right now I'm pretty engrossed in the Speedmaster. When time permits, I enjoy salt water fishing, vegetable gardening, Irish whiskey and Irish music.

Hey Celt, I was just wondering about the Skeena. I was through the area before by train and it was magnificent country and I hear the fishing is top notch. Practically all my Steelhead/Salmon fishing took place in S.E. Alaska. Steelies are the best--my favorite species to catch in freshwater by far.

Mine are: reading mysteries and adventure/spy novels, hanging out with my 15 year old son (when he lets me), taking care of Max, my dog, and... ththththatsss about it...Forrest.

ps. I agree with oneijack, except keep the jeep too, FJ. Never know when you might want to go 4-wheeling.

So basically, just get rid of the Porsches. I agree. But I tried that and I don't have the time (or energy) to part them out and chop them up. It'll happen eventually.

I like archery but I've gottin away from it the last couple years. Archery season is the best time of year to be in the woods, I don't have to kill anything to have a great day cause the woods is full of entertainment in the fall.

My oldest, who graduated from college in December (yeah!!) got a job at "Fil-Tec", they make candle wicks and other related items. Hmm, maybe I'll start a collection...

I could turn pro...

I play the Bari sax and a little harmonica thru an unnecesarily large amp. Also enjoy a little wood working here and there, usually at my friend's house since he has all the toys
I used to enjoy 4-wheeling in my jeep when I had it, hope to get back into that someday too. The odd trip out on the mountain bike helps.

I'm gonna have to be careful how I answer this, as I've not long been for a medical for the injury claim for the crash, and the doc's put that my bike is my hobbie, my transport and my social life... Which of course it is, but there is more...

I'm a Guide leader (Girl Scouts before you ask....) I have a flute that I play once a month or so, mainly for stress release (when its raining and I'm won't go out on the bike), the flute is a lot less raucous than my sax playing... and kinder on the ears of my neighbours!
I'm also doing a lot of stuff on my sewing machine at the mo. But that's a whole other story.

And I have an 03 America and a 45 3HW that both need some attention.

And I work....

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....

You using those fangle dangle compound bows or, like me, proper longbows?

I love the terminology used:
Longbow = a bent stick
Compound = the darkside.

+1 on the Jeeping. I have a '82 CJ-8 that is in constant need of attention. When it is running right, with no doors or top and the sun is out, it is almost as much fun as the bike, but different. When we were stationed in Hawaii, I used to pull it right on to the beach and grill right on the back. And that bottle opener on the dash is only for "off-road use"...
