Just purchased a Rochester mesh jacket from Triumph, and it is great. It is similar to a Joe Rocket Summer type mesh jacket with a fully perforated design, shoulder, elbow, and back armor, and a leather Triumph logo on the back. Also included are leather lined cuffs, an embroidered Triumph Motorcycles logo on the right front chest, and a Union Jack patch on one sleeve. Looks to be a great option for armor in the Summer and all for around $150US. Good stuff from Triumph.

If I wasn't already stocked up on Joe Rocket Phoenix gear, I'd sure consider the Rochester. Looks like a nice jacket.

No worries, Joe Rocket also puts out great gear. Do you ride with the armor in, or do you remove it?

ride safe

Hey Ryan,

You've seen my Joe Rocket. I removed the armor because of its bulk but there is more padding still in those armor points. I may put it back in for 'Thunder in the Mountains"!!

Does the Rochester have zipper outer pockets?

I know that's not the only jacket going to GA, right?!

Yes, it has the zipper out pockets. No, I will have full leather on most of the time I am guessing, including on the ride up and back. I just hope the rainsuit will stay in the luggage.

Hey Mr. Adey,

Off-topic, but how do you folks across the Atlantic make that funky pound currency symbol? Do you need to have an English built 'puter to do it? hehehehe...

I wonder about stuff like that. Why I never achieved greatness in life I guess.

I bought mine at the link below for $127.50 + $12.00 for UPS shipping. It arrived in four days. I wear a 44-46, bought a size 48 for a good fit. Comes with shoulder, elbow, and back armor. BTW, outside of being a customer, I'm not affiliated in anyway.

That is a good site... Wonder how they get away with discounting Triumph items? No one else seems to....

What is the difference between the Raptor and Rochester? Are these both summer jackets? Does one provide better protection over the other??

Both are Summer jackets with protective, removable, armor. The biggest difference seems to be in the styling. The Raptor looks more like a sport jacket to me, but it is just a matter of personal preference. Both are excellent in my humble opinion.

Ride Safe!
