I have a 2006 speedmaster. I'm looking to make some changes and I'll need some paint work done. Where can I find the actual paint colors or brand to match what I have exactly? And also, where is the best place to buy it?

Thanks guys

The paint codes are available on the triumph website. Any paintshop should be able to mix it up for you.

You can also find the paint codes in the Tech Vault under Parts cross reference
As for where is the best place to buy, I think that would depend a lot on your local area.

Getting exact match is not necessarily that easy. Mine is a 2002, and the paint is apparently a british brand (not Dupont); even with the codes, I could not get my local paint shop to exact match it (and they called around). So I'm picking a new color.... some paint shops have the equipment to scan in the color you want matched and then mix something up - no guarantees however that it will be exact.
Just my 2 cents.

I've been told the mulberry is actually a candy, so it's nearly impossible to match perfectly. My dealer had me call the company they use, they had all the codes 'except' mulberry, said Triumph never published it (at least to them).

OK for all of us that love the Mulberry/Graphite (and lets face it it IS the best color)...WE have a PRICE to pay for having THE BEST...the color is dam near impossible to match Triumph uses a "secret-squirle" paint techinque that involves 4 steps and a tinted clear candy coat.....I had a local painter try to match the color for all of my side covers (right and left side), the chain guard, and the licence plate bracket...

It's closer on some parts than others...and EVERY part is painted a DIFFERENT color red...depending on where it is on the bike effects the way the light hits it and how looks...

SO the best you can do is get close...a custom shop that does lots of candy work could eventually get a match so close as to be indistiguishable but the cost for their time to "play" and experiment would be astounding!

again just the price you pay for owning the best!

Mulberry/Graphite Rocks!!!!

What you just stated is what I heard too. I took mine to have it color matched for a helmet I was going to paint. PPG used their color gun, took 3 readings, got 3 different colors! Needless to say, no luck. I guess Triumph new what they had was good, and didn't want to share.....

Another thing about candies is that even if you get the right color match, the end result can still vary depending on the painter, their method for shooting, and what kind of mood they are in. So, it is better to have everything shot at one time to help ensure everything on the bike matches. Chances are not so good for going back to the same painter (unless they are using programable robots) and getting an exact match.

The new 07 black isnt black, but a whimpy charcoal colour. How a company can screw up the most basic of colours is a wonder.
