I assume 2 piece. Hope it's the 1 piece--although when we were discussing size M specs only said chest and waist....I didn't ask cuz I thought at $54.45 for authentic triumph suit-- either one was worth it.

THE LAST RIDE I WENT ON (ABOUT 300 MILES) I DIDN'T BRING MY RAIN GEAR. I KNOW I KNOW....BAD IDEA, BUT THE FORCAST CALLED FOR SUN THE WHOLE WAY. TO MAKE A SHORT STORY SHORTER, I HAD TO BUY A SET OF YELLOW FISHERMAN STYLE RAIN GEAR AT THE YELLOWKNIFE CANADIAN TIRE, AS I GOT CAUGHT IN A MONSOON. THE OUTFIT KEPT ME DRY AND WARM BUT I MUST HAVE LOOKED LIKE THE BANANA I FELT LIKE RIDING DOWN THE ROAD. NOT EXACTLY THE IMAGE A GUY GOES FOR WHEN RIDING YA KNOW?ANYWAY THE POINT IS ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN THAT. $61.00 FOR AN ACTUAL TRIUMPH SUIT? A STEAL OF A DEAL!!!

be sure that any suit you get has the little boot stirrup thingies on the bottom of the leg. mine doesnt have it & my suit rides up & water gets in over the tops of my boots.
we should do this every weekend!

As mentioned overall, I think the suit is excellent. Being one piece and zipping from top down, it takes awhile to get into, so remove wallets and anything you want to get to easily. Being tall (6'5"), it rides up a bit at the ankle (I pack along x-country ski gaitors to make up the difference). Pay attention closing the velcro that waterproofs the zipper, especially in the crotch area. Rain can creep into that area and the cool effect of walking into a roadside diner is offset by the image of a grown man having just had an "accident". Being yellow, I feel like a giant banana going down the road, but I'm a dry banana and when rain, spray and visibility is poor, I'm not a run over banana. How's that for an endorsement . JH

They're excellent suits, but allow some extra time the first time you suit up. It is indeed a WTF? moment. I too have the big banana suit. I'm too old too worry about cool. It's too late for that for me.
The way they fasten up is perhaps like nothing you've seen before, and if Triumph had a night course on how to put one on, it wouldn't have hurt my feelings.
The 2nd time gets easier.
Here is perhaps the world's looooowest budget rain suit - a buck four fifty per issue.

I bet they fit small in the saddle bags though.

Beware of cheap rain suits not made for bikes! I have been behind a guy wearing a walmart poncho and had to duck the small orange pieces as they broke off I was in Modells or one of those sports places, and they had some Carhartt rain gear. Looked real rugged (and cheaper than bike stuff) as long as you don't mind looking like the Gorten's Fisherman.

I've got the Triumph Chevron Rain suit. Works real good for me. Takes a while to get it on the first few times.

I have a Tourmaster one piece rainsuit and I can tell you it works great. 6 Hours in the rain riding back from the Noreast rally and I was dry.

My number 1 goal is to be visible, appearance doesn't matter especially in riding in the decreased visibility of rain.
I think it's a moot point in Austin-we may never see it again. I've seen rain but I'd like my grand kids to see it.

I have a First Gear two piece and it not only keeps you dry it keeps you warm, like Yoda said it is a bonus with the boot straps. After 300 miles with Fishercat and Rob coming home from the NorEast Rally I learned I have to get those bootie things (even though my boots are waterproof)as I was pouring water out of my boots when I got home and my feet had that shivled thing going on.

Crash, I've got the 1 piece Chevron suit and all I've got to say about it is it works!. Dry as a bone......a little warm in the summer but, it doesn't leak at all. If I purchase anything new it will probably be Frog Togs. Light weight and breathable.

FROGG TOGGS Conversation over. Absolutely the best $50 ever spent. I've tried them all and these are the best, if you want to stay dry and cool (not sweat). What good is keeping rain off you if you get that wet clammy feeling? Just get the Frogg Toggs. I've had mine 3 years - best I ever had in 40 years of riding.

I agree Frogg Toggs are excellent. Especially here in the summer with the heat. For the price you can't go wrong. Dennis

Skillet, did you get your Frogg Toggs online, or did you have to go to a dealer? I looked at the site and it just had listed dealers. I want to get a set for the Ga. rally. thanks.

I have the Triumph one-piece (black). Works as advertised, and believe me - they WILL see you out there! I nice "system", and worth a few minutes to study how the velcro strips are intended to work (there are more than one at the top). The storage bag/belly bag is real handy too. Keeps the suit clean and handy when you need it, and gives a good place to keep other things dry when you have the suit on. I have a pair of the TourMaster boot covers to wear over my shoes or boots - they fit up under the rain suit legs. (I have to say here that my Red Wing 980s have never leaked except for when I did NOT have the rain suit on, and they leaked from the top, then.) The Triumph suit has a nice microfiber/corduroy liner inside the collar that, when cinched properly around the neck, is going to keep that cool trickle from running down your back. (Fits well up to the bottom of a good full-face helmet, too.) Careful with the velcro in the crotch - the one place you really want it to seal well. You just have to bend over to look at yourself down there to see what's going on. That's not easy when your are fully dressed, jacket included, before you pull on the rain suit. Getting in and out of it is a breeze though, after a trial run and a couple or three wearings. If it had knee, elbow, shoulder and back protection, you would swear you were bullet proof. My only knock, is that all I can see in my mirrors is the suit sleeves, and if I need the suit on, visibility may not be too good to begin with. All that being said, I am intrigued by the new TourMaster rain suit I see advertised in the magazines. Here is a link: web pageTourMaster Sentinel Rainsuit Jacket Looks like two-piece only, for about the same money.

I just picked up the Tourmaster Elite rainsuit today. Kind of middle of the road as far as expense. Has a little hoody you can slip under your helmet so the rain won't leak down your coat and the little strap for your boots. I looked at the Sentinel but with tax would have been way over $100. I'm all set for the Ga. Spring rains. Thanks for the web info.

I'm inclined to agree with the guy at webbikeworld, (or whatever it's called) that to say somewhat tongue in cheek, there really is no such thing as breathable fabric rain suits in warm weather. At least it sure feels that way.
Being 50 lbs overweight may have a little something to do with that too?

If I would have had this website info. it would have been a tough choice. I chose the Elite because I could go to a local Honda shop and try them on. With tax it was about $10 more then the Toggs. Good to hear they both work well, Fishercat.

PES, Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I got my Frogg Toggs from a MC shop in Texas on ebay. My local YamaHondaKawaZuki dealer has them in gray, but I wanted orange, the brightest color they have. Riding in the rain, I want to be seen.

Please don't laugh...thought someone might want to see what the orange Frogg Toggs look like. This was over my leather Triumph jacket being it was also COLD this first day of our trip last year.

got a set of the RoadToadFroggToggs on FleaBay yesterday. Free shipping and about $10.00 less than at Cabella's. the merchant agreed to an exchange if the fit isn't right. they're black with reflective stripeystuff on 'em. i'll photo up when they get here. ordered 'em in medium, for over the leathers. hopefully they'll fit well.
i really like the rain suit i got from Campmor last year, but the pants are too short when i am all in riding position. i guess that'll be a runningintherainsuit now.
