I'll start off by saying that if I would have known about them two weeks ago, I would have bought the
Hein Gericke engineer boots from NewEnough.com.
Having said that, I recently bought these
Vampire engineer-style Motorcycle boots off eBay. For the money, they're pretty nice. So far they are comfortable to wear all day and to walk in. They are breaking in quite nicely as well.
Over all there isn't anything too special about them, other than they have a funky red leather interior lining which turns my socks red. They do have a more "sport bike" look to them, but not too extreme.
My only complaint was a bad stitch on the inside of the left boot, which rubbed my shin raw in a day. I cut that off and it's better now (all my tall socks won't stay up to protect my shins from the boots...). I may cut the Vampire logos off here in the near future as well, since those are kind of tacky.
I treated them with Camp Dry over the weekend and I hope that helps in keeping them somewhat water proof in the future.
Anyway, if anyone is looking for a decent cheap boot, these one's are not bad. The same seller also sells different styles of the same brand.
