Hi! First I wanted to thank all of you for this wonderful site. I have used it since I bought my America in 2004 and have come across so many awesome tips, ideas, and fixes for the bike that I have not had to use a dealer or shop for any maintenance work on my bike. But, now, after 12,000 miles on the bike, it's time for me to finally get new tires for the bike. And, while I'm a pretty handy guy, I don't trust myself to put new tires on my bike, (especially tires with inner tubes). Plus, being the father of a 5-month old baby, I really want the bike to be as safe as possible so I can be around for her. So does anyone here know of a good place in the Cleveland, Ohio area to get new tires put on the bike? And, since this is my first bike, I'm not sure if you're supposed to buy the tires first and then take your bike to the shop with your new tires and then they put them on for you? Or do you just buy the tires (probably at an outrageous price) at the shop and then they slap them on there? I would like to get a pretty decent deal (hopefully under $300? or does that sound crazy?). Anyways, thanks again for any help. This place rocks!

Sincerely,
Brian

Yup... got some pretty big bucks running all around the backyard i the snow.... and Bambi and his mom.... oh....

No idea aobut tires... I need a set for my FJR and a rear for the Harley... (Cleveland Akron Honda in Oakwood), a bit under $400 installed for Avon Storms...
they charge $45 per wheel for installation....
I'll check and see if I can find anything else....

Thanks for the info! Yeah, I figured Cleveland Akron Honda would probably be my best bet for new tires. I think Shadetree requires you to remove your wheels from your bike and bring them in and then they will put the tires on for you, but only tire that they have in stock or something like that. I actually don't live far from Cleveland Akron Honda (that's where I bought my bike). I live in Mayfield (aka Mafia) Heights! Married an Italian girl from Mayfield and had to stay here

I got both my tires replaced last year at Hardings Park Cycles just outside Canton. Nice ride out during the warmer weather. Make sure you give good instructions to ONE person: I asked for a REAR tire but someone ELSE fitted a front one - hence why I ended up with two new tires (My fault partly; never assume.)

Siggy

Check out my buddie Joe, he is over by the airport on 237. (440) 260-8001 (pager 216-625-1447). Has been bustin knuckels for years, he won't do you wrong.
Tell him his old drummer Reido said hello.
