Woke up the other day and a shiver ran down my spine for no apparently reason. Couldn't figure out why till I watched the news that night and Paul Sr, Paul Jr, and Mikey all sitting on their chrome statues outside the Sydney opera house. Apparently they're here getting inspiration for a "Down Under" Chopper". I can see it now - all chromed boomerangs and kangaroos.

Well Sandman if you happen to see them please kidnap them. I can't stand the crap that they put together and call it a bike. There are alot of great bikes fabricators out there that are more talented then yellers & screamers at Orange County Crappers. It's like if you happen to have a bike here in the states and bump into some yahoo's that don't know an allen wrench from a monkey wrench all they want to talk about is the latest abomination that rolls out of their shop. So please do us a large favor & keep them there or better yet send them backpacking out where the movie Wolf Creek was based on.

So Dudes....I'm guessin' you guys probably wouldn't exactly be "heartbroken" if you would suddenly hear breaking news reports about a distraught Paul Senior running out of the Outback screaming..."THE DINGOS HAVE GOT ME BABIES! THE DINGOS HAVE GOT MIKEY AND JUNIOR!"...and then hearing that afterward, some crazed kangaroo had repeated jumped up and put IT'S "size 12" on the part of Senior's anatomy, where he constantly threatens on that gawd-awful show of theirs to put HIS "size 12" on everybody else's anatomy.

(Well....a guy can DREAM, can't he?!)

Cheers,
Dwight

NO KIDDIN'???!!! Gee Matt, I had NO IDEA that OZ was chocked-full of...COMMANDO KOALAS...swooping down from the trees and ripping the facial hair off unsuspecting people.(and loud-mouthed chopper builders from New Jersey)

Oh! Wait a minute here. I think I misunderstood you. You REALLY meant that those cute furry little suckers(when they're not promoting Qantas Airlines) get high from eatin' those eucalytus leaves and then regularly drop out of those trees down there.

Well, it just goes to show ya....Those little koalas should'a NEVER listened to Timothy Leary and his "advice" to..."Tune In, Turn On, and DROP OUT"!!!

Has anybody seen the latest online flash game featuring the Teutels? I was bumping around the net and ended up on some Kawasaki cruiser board where I came across a thread with this link.

What was funny is the people posting to the thread thought it was great, and were proud to post links with their mug inserted into the little game. All I could think of was how pathetic the whole thing was.

Yes, PLEASE keep them, or at least drive them into the Outback for a few days, and leave them there, they're getting boring... If I wanted to listen to peeps arguing like that I just have to walk thru WalMarts around Cleveland! <LOL>

At first I used to think it was funny, but when they started destroying good equipment and vehicles for laughs they lost me.

My son Brett and I use to watch them together but when the old man wiped a wrench at Paulie damm near killed him, that was it for us.

You guys can keep them, they are in court all the time now due to all those cheap welds on that sh** they call choppers. There is actual two cases when the guys got serious hurt when the welds failed while they were riding.

And I thought I was the only one who thought their bikes were she-ite !

I loved it when Billy Joel hated the first efforts of the bike they did for him !

And in a similar vein.....

That Crocodile Hunter bloke - Steve Irwin was an annoying TWAT as well. He was more interested in self promotion that animal promotion.

A salutory message here to all the wildlife 'experts': If you don't want to get hurt, LEAVE THE F*****s ALONE ! I don't want to see you doing it, they don't want you doing it so F*****G STOP IT !

If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.

Brummie ol' boy! It appears that you're a little perturbed about the quality of today's television programing.

Why, I have NO IDEA why you would think that, my friend!!!

There are a veriable PLETHERA of fine TV shows being broadcast into the homes of americans!(and I'm SURE English households as well!!!)

I mean...DON'T you guys have some kind of version of "AMERICAN IDOL" over there on that little island of yours, or something???

Now THAT program certainly elevates the consciousness of the public OVER HERE!!!

Cheers,
Dwight
(and if you REALLY want to find some "enlightening programing", see if you can find some kind of english version of "Surviver" on the ol' Tellie)

Yep! I kind'a figured you did.

Somebody on this site a while back was using the following old H.L. Mencken(1980-1956, american journalist/satirist/all around cynic) quote as their tagline for a while...."Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the american public", and whenever I see or hear about how much dough the Tueltuls are racking in, I always think back to that line of his.

Cheers,
Dwight

well judging by the other bikes they've built it wont be putting the ozzies on a pedistal
if they show an oz bike being built it will show boomerangs corks hanging of it and possibly some bush tucker
i must admit i do watch it as i watch biker build off uk and us and world actually any bike customising programs but OCC do build a lot of crap bikes
you know what they say
RIDE A HARLEY RIDE THE BEST
RIDE A MILE WALK THE REST

Actually melvin, I wouldn't mind riding a Harley.(especially a Dynaglide)

But those New Jersey based gents(and most other chopper builders around) use Harley clone engines, which they THEN bolt into a contraption that can't/won't turn, or generally can't get out of it's own way(and will scrap the ground if you try) because of those stupid long extended forks that many people "think" are so "cool", and which also have the comfortability factor of ZILCH, because many, if not most of them, are hardtails.

Cheers,
Dwight

i know what they use and i personally would not mid an S and S engined bike
you are correct about the handling forks ect
i had a sporty but blew it up 5 months from opening the box and i have built a couple of hardtail chops in my time
i think it's the way they build them that makes me believe there not safe

whenever I see the show, it ticks me off..like when they destroyed a perfectly good bike with their new water jet tool...to this day, I have never bought a new bike, and that one they trashed probably cost more than any of mine to date...G

I never wanted to lead, and I never wanted to follow. I just wanted to ride.

I do not want to change the tread, but would like to go back something Brummie said which I agree with.

When it comes to wild animals leave them the f**k alone enjoy them at a distance, but leave them alone.

As far a modern day TV programming, why would some jerk travel to OZ to search out the seven most deadly snakes in the world and then f**k with them on camera, while at the same time keep reminding you if he gets bite he is dead as he could not make it to a hospital on time.

There are two things I give wide berth to snakes and spiders if I never saw another one it would be OK by me but during these so called informative TV shows, I find myself pulling for the snake to whack him.

Done ranking

Interesting you mention that... the news here yesterday showed some local guy who got bitten by a brown snake in his back yard. Now this guy doesn't live in the sticks, he's in the burbs in a major capital city. If his wife hadn't been there, and if a snake handler hadn't caught & ID'd the snake (to get the right antivenin) he'd have been dead as a dodo in 1/2 an hour.

In this part of the world you don't get the option of leaving snakes and spiders alone - you have to keep your eyes open and not step on them.

You know I love OCC I truly do you know they went from cake decorating (buying parts and reshaping them and putting it together)To doing everything down to the frames them self.
Took there 15 minutes and turned it into a well running machine. Are they crude and loud yup. But you know what they took there shot did that show there way.
I wonder how many of the "great" bike builder out there are hanging the bankrupt going out of business signs.
I would love to ride the armstrong bike few more of them too. Lets just say if I had to build a few theme bikes to buld the building they are doing
B.A.COM THEME BIKE HERE I COME!!!!

Ok thread hijack in progress;

Any of the old timers here remember the old "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom". (One of, if not the first go out and torment the animals shows). I remember the host was Marlin Perkins. but cant rmrmber the name of his big goofy side kick. You know the guy that jumped out of the boat and wreastled the gaters, while old marlin kinda watched. He had somee kind of accent, Not sure if he was Aussie or South African, anybody know?

Ah, the much-loved Tuetuls; proof, if ever it were needed, that the media can take really quite uninteresting and average people and turn them into ersatz heroes. When all the glamor and editing is peeled away, all we really have is a group of guys who build motorcycles. The tragedy is that once TV has accomplished the media makeover, the actors begin to believe the hype and really think they are special, when in truth, they still only build motorcycles.

And when they start hawking Full Throttle cologne ($8.95 and less on eBay) you have to believe something has sadly, terribly, and horribly gone wrong.

Siggy

If life wasn't so pointless and absurd, I would take it more seriously.

Saw the cologne in the Langley BX. I'll have to look for a sample free spritz next time I'm there.

I remember it well. Marlin had a good gig - top billing, and Jim did all the hard stuff that Marlin Perkins dreamt up.

Marlin: "Today folks, I'm going to sit in the air conditioned Land Rover swilling Gin while Jim sticks his head into the fire ant colony." "Won't this be fun!"

Long as it's nostalgia time I gotta '64 Jeep pickup with a small block Chevy in it that after 6 or 8 pounds of bondo could be all ready for a Daktari paint job. One of these days...
