December 27 2006Video: Rocket III tourer Italian firm Extreme Designs has beaten Triumph to the production of a touring version of the Rocket III and we’ve got the first video. The Rocket III is a pretty big bike as it is but add a massive touring fairing and what you get can easily be described as a behemoth. See Video

JMO....
From the pics, it looks like a bolt on kit and not a very good one at that.

What ya mean, only one meter wide at the fairing I would never entertain a fairing and my BA is over one meter wide and very comfy it is too.

I gotta tell you, for a big touring type bike, I like the Victory Vision Street edition.

Pictures never do a machine justice. I want to see this bike in person. I do like a stripped down rocket.

Close...but no cigar.
I think it's very near the machine that Triumph SHOULD have brought to market TWO friggin' YEARS ago. The big-a$$ Rocket has BEGGED to be a Interstate touring machine since DAY ONE of it's debut!
The bike pictured above comes close, but I see a little problem with that oblong obstruction on the side of the gas tank. Where would one put their KNEES?
And, any passenger accommodations look like they'd be rather tight because of the saddlebag placement.
Cheers, Dwight (GOD...when I retire I'D SURE like to design motorcycles for a living...anybody know of any openings?)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I know-it's a contest with Victory! Who can make the ugliest touring motorcycle? I'd say they are pretty even.
Triumph--stop yourself before it's too late!

Man, that's wide ... wide and ugly! I would have expected the eye-talians do have done a better job.

If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.

The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

Hey, at least you don't have to see that ugly radiator anymore.
If Triumph's version is even half that ugly, I'll get a standard Rocket III and add all the Corbin goodies.
The bike in the movie is not the same as the pictures. At the very least the headlights are different.
