Well it's been a few years since I was even interested in motorcycle riding, but I think that after I get moved and settled that I will see if I can't get ole Matilda back up and running.
Seems I lost interest in riding after my father in law died in a bike wreck. I looked at the plates Friday and the last time it was registered was 2015, it's gonna take some work but I should be able to get her going by the end of summer if not sooner.
I guess some opinions may be warranted here, besides battery, chain, tires carb cleaning, and a good wash job what else would ya check out before careening down the highway on it?

I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago. Edgar Allan Poe

Hi and I'd like to say how pleased I am that you're contemplating riding again.
I hope you enjoy the experience and may the sun shine for you.( It's grim weather here in Kent, UK)
I'd be doing just the same checks as you are thinking about.
Best wishes

Al
