UPDATE, been waiting 3 weeks for my New Bonneville order due to waiting on the Noology coils, but just tonight ordered a new CDI/Regulator from British customs, got the stock replacement after market for 109. I figure If I am going to put good coils on, might as well make sure the CDI is sending good power to them. The ProCom just is not in the budget right now. I hope after i replace all this my fireing issues will be all gone! Almost did not make it home Sunday night. Backfiring and pretty sure cylinder drop going on and off at speed!

Mines on the left side, never seen one on the other side, did Triumph put them on both sides?

The CDI and the regulator are two different units.
The CDI is on the left side frame under the tank as you sit on the bike.
The regulator is under the bike on the frame behind the motor, in front of the swing arm.

I recommended anyone looking to replace a CDI, give TTP look. http://www.triumphtwinpower.com/ Much better than the Procom, IMO.
If your looking to replace / upgrade the regulator /rectifier the best version is a Mosfet http://www.roadstercycle.com/. This unit corrected charging issues I had on a 2003 America for years. Been trouble free for about three years.

Hope I dont have to do the ignition control,, its beyond me at this point. I would go with the pro com if I did.
