I have my front springs out[stock]again. This bike from a side view sets up a bit high, in the front.. Suppose i cut the spacers down. just steel tubing.Could i get a better ride and a lower stance to the bike? Everything in my garage is lowerd ..so this bike sitting high, i see right off. Any knowledgeable people out there that can share with me on this . A SOFTER AND lower ride is what i am seeking thanks bob s

I thought we went over this already...NO! You will lose your pre-load and the suspension will be too soft, I tried it when I was lowering Wendy's bike. If you want to lower it get the lowering kit from Progressive instead of just the springs.

I've been a hot rod bulder all my life.bikes are "to new" to me at times. And working out ideas with a plan when building a kustom merc, is the only way, as you sy, Try never to go out on a limb to far.so as not to get back without the project holding your wallet hostage.GOOD POINT ryk.thanks for the tips all loweing kit and more fork oil will do the trick i think.Far as sticking the tubes up thru the triple trees...others would think it looked like i was gettin lazy in what i do. So thats not an option

every time I see forks slid up through the trees I think it looks Mickey Mouse and is the mark of someone too lazy to do it the right way.
