Looked in the both the owners manual, on the tires, and on the forums but can't get really solid recommendation for tire pressure on my '07 America.
My riding is about 75% on city/surburban roads - sometimes bumpy, and about 25% interstate. Tires are the stock Metzlers. I've got two medium size saddle bags but don't put too much stuff in them. My weight is on the heavy side, at 220.
Can anyone recommend the right tire pressure for my setup?
Thanks!

I've upped mine recently to about 40/40. That seems to have reduced the tendancy to wallow around in the corners.

The metzlers take lots more air than the avons for sure.
Also, when you stray from the oem tyres disregard the recommended inflation pressures on the head tube and go with the tyre manufacture suggestions. Most tyre makers have a website that will tell you the recommended inflation pressures.

But also be careful of the pressure on a tire that is NOT the pressure you should run your bike at. that's the maximum pressure for that tire under maximum load. You should instead inflate to the pressure recommended for that tire under the normal load you will be using it for.

That's way more than I use-I'm 32 in fromt and 34 in back-36 with the bride. Guess I gotta try a bit more and see what happens. Stock tire on back-new Lazertech in front at 7000 miles.

Haynes and Triumph Service Manual both say: solo: 30psi (front) 31psi (rear) fully loaded: 31psi (front) 36psi (rear)

I've stuck with 32/36 and ride solo and 2 up. I'm getting great tire wear out of original Bridgestones. Good tread at almost 14000 miles.

I run 32F/36R on my solo 07SM bagger. Any more & the front gets too "light". Any less & it doesn't corner as well.
