Clunking in forks

When I hit my front brake hard and the fork compress far I get a clunking sound and can feel it in the handle bars. Does any one know what this is?

On my ZR-7S that was steering head bearings a little loose.

I found that overfilling with oil will make them click quite loudly..level was 20mm too high when i fitted progressive springs, lowered it and presto noise gone, cheers, Tadpole

Got back from the dealer . It was a steering head adjustment.
