I always seem to get into these discussions way after everyone else is done with them, but could use some help on tires. Time to buy, and while I am pretty sure I know what to get, I still have some questions.
First, the general consensus is Avon Venoms or Metzeler 880s. But there is the question on the front wheel.
Stock is 110/80-18 m/c 58H Metzeler Laser. Everyone has seemed to move away from these, probably because they don't make them anymore. Is it better to get an Avon or Metzeler 110/90-18 or a 100/90-18 or a Metzeler Lasertec 110/80-18. What fits best? What are the handling differences?
I assume that I will get a Metzeler 880 or Avon Venom for the rear.
Another question: In the code for the rear tire, 170/80B15 M/C 77H - does the B just stand for Black - as opposed to WWW.
