This came up on face Book Marketplace

https://www.gardenuto.com/products/...ne7Opgh9Yk_Vh7fnMHTX7BUuWFt7jsrRDwfBmB1o

I can't find this trolley anyplace on the internet besides this seller's web site. It looks like a nice design, but I wonder it actually exists. I sent an email (no phone number is given on the web site) asking if this is real and the name of the manufacturer and received no reply as of yet.

What do you guys think? Scam?

BTW, I ordered what looks like the same motorcycle dolly Harbor Freight sells for my 04 America, but ordered it from an eBay seller to be delivered for around $130 all in. I am afraid to try ordering the Trolley above.

"Buy 2 50% off"
"Buy 3 70% off"

Why not buy 3? I'll buy one from you for $70.

(It's a scam.)

That is an actual item but the sale looks like a scam to me. I would go to a known Lowes website and search for it to see if they carry that. I have never seen it on their site but that doesn't mean it isn't there somewhere. I recently searched for a floor jack and found a great deal but realized it was a scam right away. I bought 2 and it listed 2 different sellers. So I called PayPal and the one refunded me right away the other gave fake tracking info. So PayPal denied my claim at first until I called them back and pointed out that they listed the shipping date as the day before I bought it. Some how the tracking actually worked though. You could go to the shipper site and the tracking worked and even said it had been delivered to my house.

Thats a pretty cool little thingie there, wouldn't mind having one but not gonna pay 70 bucks for it. Its not a lift, just a different way of moving around motorcycles so maybe what seemed like a good idea at the time turned out to be a flop and they are just trying to get rid of them. Or they were always gonna sell them for 70 and pretended they had a huge mark down. Motorcycles are generally fairly easy to move around anyway so unless you are a collector I really don't see the point.

I thought a dolly would make it easier to turn my Triumph America in the garage so I could ride it out forward rather than backing out on uphill gravel and struggling it to turn around. I can turn it in the garage if I leave enough room to do the back and forth, but I am hoping the dolly makes that easier. We'll see. $70 would be a bargain, but I don't think it's for real.

I have over 20 bikes and I store many of them in a small room and that would definately be a useful device for someone like me. That being said, I wouldn't buy one, waste of money to me. I have better stuff to spend it on. Also I would need about 15 of them to make them useful.

20 Bikes I am certainly impressed, how do you pick the one you want to ride today?

Not all of them are finished. For the most part I ride my Speedmaster or 64 BMW. Used to ride my 66 TR6C a lot but it needs a rebuild again. Still runs but wouldn't last long and don't want it to blow up.Don't trust the magnito in my 58 T-110 and my 54 T-110 isn't quite ready yet. The rest are restorations or custom builds I haven't finished yet.2 of the customs just need to come apart and be made pretty and be put back together. My 72 Daytona is very close too That really just needs to have the rest of the sheet metal and battery box put back on. My 70 lightning needs an engine. My Trail Blazer 250 needs some engine work, really haven't done much with that since they are junk from new but it's cool to have.I have a cool hard tail that I made out of my junk pile That is made from extra parts and damaged frames. 67 Bonneville engine, front half of the frame is from the early 50s the rear down tube is from the 60s for the unit engine mount, I made the hard tail part, short disc brake front end off of a Suzuki 380 triple. Seat height is a little lower than my knee and the frame is stretched so the bike is about 8' long and very low. Mini ape hangers, big headlight. Pre-unit rear wheel.

I ordered one of those, and all I got in return was two lousy old skateboards and a 2X4 the instructions said I was supposed to nail between 'em, AND they didn't even supply the damn nails!

(...nah, jus' kiddin' of course) wink

Dwight a couple of long street ride boards will probably fit the wheel base of your Porsche. Not a bad idea with or without the nails.

Hi Paul. Well, after owning the 550 Spyder for some 14 years, I finally sold it off and to my air-cooled/flat-4 mechanic about a year and a half ago, and in its place purchased a slightly used 2020 FIAT 124 Abarth Spider like this one here...

[Linked Image from autocollectionofmurfreesboro.com]

True though, not that much bigger than the old 550, but it's sure nice having the modern conveniences of A/C, ABS, cruise control and a Bose audio system in it, and as compared to the bare-bones 550.

(...ya know, one starts appreciating those kinds of features when they get to be an old fart like I am now days) ;-)

Nice looking drive I bet there is room in the boot for your rackets and a case of balls. The road from Jerome to Prescott must be fun, ok well I guess most roads probably are in that red rocket.

Yep Paul, this little baby is especially fun in those twisties over Mingus Mountain alright, although it still seems to put a smile on my face no matter the kinds of roads I might be driving on.

At first I thought of replacing my 550 with a nice used Honda S2000, but as you might know, those suckers have really shot up in value recently, and so after talking to a buddy of mine in L.A. who bought one of these newer 124 Spiders back in 2017 and who said he loved his, I found the one I bought down in Tucson over the internet.

Yep, pretty much. A "Fiata" being a good nickname for it.

One of the reasons I purchased it was because I felt the FIAT stylists there in Turin Italy did a great job of taking a Miata chasis and then designing an updated look to the bodywork that's reminiscent of the beautiful original 124 Spiders that famed American car designer Tom Tjaarda penned back in 1966 while working for Pininfarina. One of which I also owned from the mid-'80s through the late-'90s. That being a 1977 (1756cc) model year example in my case, and on which I would come to replace those ugly post-1973 Fed-mandated bumpers with those like you had on your '72.

(...never had any problems with it during all those years I owned it btw, and so always making me say "BAH!" to anyone who'd tell me that old joke about "what FIAT stands for")

My 72 had the small bumpers...with the split rear bumper. The Fed mandated bumpers came later.

The Fiata electrics HAVE to be better than what that Sadist Marelli did, back in the day...Marelli made Lucas look like a shining star!
