Today is my sons birthday so we all decided to do something a little different , we rounded up a group of family and friends and went to an outdoor shooting range . What a great time , took my 44 mag carbine but couldn't get time on the rifle range ( didn't want to wait in line) but had lots of fun at the pistol range , 1000 + 9 mil rounds prob 500 + 38 rounds in less then 2 hrs of course lol . Who else enjoys shooting once in a while? Whatcha shooting ? I live in the city so it's not like I can shoot everyday anytime , I either have to go indoors range or this place 45 min up the rd and it's always busy. Sometimes we can shoot in my sons back yard but he has very short berm so it can be dangerous and with as many as we went with today ? The range was better idea lol and now it's

I belong to 2 membership-only outdoor ranges. It used to be I'd get out about once a month but now it's been a few months. It's always a good time. I try to go with a buddy but if I go solo there's always another friendly guy on the firing line.

I like shooting almost any caliber, rifle or pistol. Not a huge fan of the AR/5.56 style. I actually prefer Commie caliber rifles even if they're not as accurate as the AR. My Ruger LC9 gets fired often as it's my carry pistol and it's important to train.

In general, I avoid indoor or public ranges because all kinds of yahoos show up there without proper training or experience.

We have friends that own a range and last year they treated us to a shoot that included fully automatic rifles.
Wild!

I enjoy shooting. When I go I shoot all sorts of pistol calibers, 9mm, .40, .45 and my personal favorite, a Smith and Wesson 500 magnum. It's a mighty hand full of fun!

We did some shooting this weekend, my boys and I. We took my cap and ball 36, my son brought his black powder 44 and my youngest brought his 38 special (he isn't into black powder or primitive weapons).
We built a dualing tree and had a little competitive fun.

I don't shoot, guns kill people so I'm scared to be around them, they should be illegal so no one gets killed by one.

I recently built an M4 clone in .223 Wylde. I also just got five 80% lower receivers, for the purposes of building a couple more in .223W for the wife and the youngest son (14), a short-barrel .458 SOCOM, and a 6.5 Grendel.
Sadly, immediately after receiving them in the mail, they were suddenly and tragically lost in a freak boating accident. Coincidentally, our state just outlawed non-serialized firearms...
