17 yrs old in 1970 with my T110

18yrs old in 1971 with my Tiger a week before I got my leg smashed.

20 yrs old got my insurance for my accident and wasted some of it on a Sportster.

I like the one with the puppy almost as much as I like the one with the good looking redhead.

There's one currently on UK eBay for sale...at £8500!.....beautiful condition by the look of it and the same fantastic colour......so, so tempting.....followed my friend Clive last week as he rode his newly bought t140E.....with Commando peashooters...lovely sound...we both wallowed in nostalgia....
Now if only my prospective buyer for my Switchback completes the deal soon......

There's a couple over here too some with the commando exhausts but I like the OEM ones.
There was a T110 1954 in immaculate condition but they wanted $17,500 Australian out of my reach.

They are bloody pricey when you consider what they were new.
I'd have trouble persuading HER that buying one is a sound idea......but I'll try all the same.

Yep a brand new America LT can be had for about $15,000 Aussie but I suppose the new price of a T110 was high considering the wages back then.
I keep looking, but all the decent ones are crazy prices. The's a 1962 Bonneville for $22,000 if your interested A lot of money for a bike that wouldn't get used as much as a new one IMO
The 140's seem more reasonable.

I've had a Thunderbird LT.... probably the worst mechanical issues I've experienced these last two decades....badly machined pistons and liners...awful rattle on acceleration...sod off response from dealer...top end eventually rebuilt and sold quick.
Never again will I consider a Thunderbird for those reasons.
But others may have had different experiences.
Once bitten, etc...
Which is why I'm back on a TBA...I've got a 500 mile trip day after tomorrow...I know it'll do the job...and I'll enjoy the ride...
Trouble is, right now it's threatening to snow!
So what.

I said the America LT Al.The T-bird is more expensive around 20K I think.

Hey Ho....that's ageing.....on the other hand I'm just about to pack the saddlebags for a 250 mile ride to Devon in a couple of hours....guess we can still stumble about a bit.
Now, what was my name again....and where's my meds?

Who are you? Do I know you? What's the question? Devon? That's a sausage isn't it?
