My 06 America blows the #5 fuse everytime I hit the starter button. Is there a common cause for this before I start tearing her apart? First problem I've had with the bike other than a dead battery.

I also have a 2006 America, 130,000 miles. The starter switch sometimes doesn't turn the engine over, after some patients and waiting and pushing the kill engine switch, the stater button turns the engine over. I've never had any problems with fuses. So far changed coils twice, the electronic brain once and all the tires and brakes over the years. And of course oil change every 8,000 miles full synthetic oil, Castrol 10-50. 3.5 Qt's Glad there are still riders interested in this website, keep the line moving.
