I was traveling on a three lane roadway here in Vegas today and I had been traveling in the left hand lane when I signaled my intentions to turn left by using the turn signal and I drifted over into the left turn lane and I was slowing down for the red light. The intersection was about 100 feet ahead of me when a small car pulled next to me on the right, then passed me and then turned into my turn lane just to be able to go first. I about had to eat a rear bumper as when he turned into the lane he stood on the brakes.

I sat on the bike for another light cycle as I was in no condition to deal with more traffic at this point. I was only one block away from home and I pulled into the drive and parked and cabled the bike and gave myself a pat on the back for not chasing down that jackwagon and getting involved in an altercation.

As I was walking my dog later I noticed the car parked on the street. I hooked my dog to the fence and with only a few turns on my Gerber Multi Tool I loosened his oil drain plug to a point where it will fall out pretty soon.

I figure that one good turn deserves another.

Good for you, you didnt act on impulse. I would have let all the air out of the tires via the side walls, but the oil drain will work maybe he will blow the engine and not be able to afford another car for a while.

Now you (and a few hundred others) will have to wonder: "I wonder where that 4 or 5 quart long oil slick is hiding?"
Should be even more fun if it rains

I would never admit to doing that online.

This story reminded me of driving south on 684 one day after a light rain. Apparently a truck lost the crossover line between the two saddle tanks, spilling a stream of diesel fuel on the northbound highway. I watched as a number of vehicles slid off the road, including a set of pup (double) trailers that flopped over on it's side after going sideways for a few hundred feet. I just happened to be in the right place to see it happen, and also saw a broken down truck with his crossover line hanging down on the ground up the road from the melee.

I guess you could say it was a very bad day for somebody's insurance carrier.

``````````````
Even more blabber from the Bucky Soapbox. We never know what's going on when somebody tweaks out in front of us. Maybe he's got a kid with end stage Cancer, or who knows what. Or maybe he's just a douc-- nozzle. Be thankful if nothing more happens, and keep on rollin'. It isn't worth the work of rage & hard feeling over it. That's not to say I'm holier than though like I've never gotten pi--ed off at the wheel. Sure I have. Just some food for thought. Did the guy f' up? Sure. Does he deserve the (potential) death penalty over it? I don't think so.
If you were to slip back over there and snug that plug back up, I don't think anyone would be the worse for wear over it, or think any less of you. I think we've almost all been there for wanting to do something similar at some point.
Does this point of view make me a "bleeding heart" or "Pollyanna" as has been said before?
Probably. I don't care. That's the way I sees it -- a slightly bigger picture than what my own blinders show.
Wow, from cop to hoodlum. Kinda sad, actually. Self-defense is one thing...
Of course, I'm beginning to wonder about all these stories...
#1 he didn't do it trying to get under a car and lossen a drain plug bolt with a multi-tool is not likely.
#2 my response is sarcasm
Kieth, do you realy think its possible to reach under a "small car" with only a few inches of ground clearance and use the crappy pliers that come with a multi-tool to loosen a bolt. I hope not. To bad you can't put voice inflections in text.
Perhaps the cager saw his/her turn and panicked and made an abrupt , but less than wise move . Forgive 'em , let it go , move on .
A siezed engine is a stiff price to pay for a lapse in judgement .
And IF the drain plug tactic was actually done , the results could be tragic , i.e. an accident caused by the ensuing oil slick and disabled car .
And basically posting admission of the CRIME (literally) on a public website is well , less than a wise move .
was exactly the point in my sarcasm. That appearantly got missed.(egg on my face). The guy may be an idiot but he probably has a job and people counting on him to provide for them. On top of the fact that I dont think its possible to do.
The appropriate measure is pass him back and shoot the bird to him at most so he realizes what he did. If you do anything at all you should get their attention /wake them up, so they know what they did. Not kill some one.
But give ole Dan a break he was blowing off steam and realy didn't do the dirty deed. Now he is regretting writing it on here because he has been thoroughly chastized. (maybe rightfully so). We shouldn't condone vandalizm. H3ll I am regretting just giving a tongue in cheek sarcastic remark now. Which is what I usually do. Open mouth insert foot.
The point of this thread is venting. That is why he named it High Blood Pressure. Talking about something that happened gives relief to ones stress. Having the last laugh in a story gives one satisfaction.
C'mon now , Chad , is that REALLY the mature thing to do ? We're not exactly 11 anymore .
Some say revenge is a dish best served COLD , but in reality ANY counter reactions are counter productive .
SO , if someone cuts you off in traffic , bumps into you and makes you spill your beer , or sloshes Starbucks on your Ninno Paglini shoes , and you're not bleeding , if at all possible without surrender , let it go , let it go , let it go .
Something went terribly wrong here.
At first, it was only Dan that had the blood pressure problem.
And it seems HE'S the ONLY one that's relaxed now.
I have been trying to get along with you Keith. I have been being nice to you. Yes I ofended you but I apologized, and have gone out of my way to be nice to ya I even offered to send you a manual to help do the valve adjustments and save you money on the throttle cable situation but what I get in return is you looking for me to say something you dont like so you could pounce. You don't want to get along with me but I have tried with you.
meanwhile I hear forgive people for making mistakes.
Profound.
I'm just starting to wonder, given the bigger picture of all of Dan's recent revenge stories, if he isn't just completely full of it. It's starting to sound like he's having a bit of fun with us. And the way some of them are turning, out, I sincerely hope he's full of it.
Ah, come on now Chad! Well, yes, your spelling might leave a bit to be desired, it's NOT all THAT bad.
BUT, how the heck hard is it to occasionally press down the friggin' "shift key" with your friggin' PINKY FINGER in efforts to uppercase a friggin' word when ya want to EMPHASIZE that friggin' word in a friggin' sentence, HUH?!
(...NOW do ya see how the use of "Dwightish" can bring a little conversational inflection into an otherwise cold and impersonal text message?????)
That one letter turns it into a 2 syllable word.
syllable: noun
1. an uninterrupted segment of speech consisting of a center of relatively great sonority with or without one or more accompanying sounds of relatively less sonority: “Man,” “eye,” "humor," “strength,” and “sixths” are English words of one syllable. "Humour" is a two syllable word. [hume' our]
(The inability to laugh at ones self IMHO.)(or with Chad)
How is that for some Dwightish.
Years ago I dumped my bike (Suzuki) at an intersection due to a car loosing all its oil. Even after I picked the bike back up I couldn't ride it initially, due to the back tire spinning like I was riding on ice. It took at least 10 miles to get the oil off the tires. Lucky for me when I hit the oil I was only doing 5MPH, and no one was in front or behind me.
So next time figure out another way to release your blood pressure.
I would be wondering if it really was the culprit car that had the sump plug loosened or maybe it was just some unlucky sod who happened to have the same model and color car - how bad would you feel?
No, I don't. But the original post sure created a stir. Doubt the story is for real. Somebody's sitting back having a chuckle right now.
Anyway seems to me there was a wrongful death suit filed a couple years ago against a car owner who dumped oil on the road and a motorcyclist wrecked because of the oil patch and got killed...
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did out pour
Nothing farther then he uttered- not a feather then he fluttered -
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "Other friends have flown before - On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before."
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
Well Dan. I can’t believe you’re so stupid and gutless. Why didn’t you go to the house the car was parked outside and speak to the driver. As for loosening the plug. Well that’s plain dumb.
That motley drama - oh, be sure it shall not be forgot!
With its Phantom chased for evermore by a crowd that siezed it not.
Through a circle that ever returneth in to the same spot,
and much of Madness, and more of sin,and horror the soul of the plot.
Okay, okay Chad! I HAVE to ask...WHO just gave you the book, "The Collected Works of Edgar Allan Poe"...HUH?!
I mean, at last count I think this is now THREE quotes of his that you've used around here lately.
(...oh, and btw, you didn't even give the poor troubled man his due by crediting these lines to him in any of your postings, ya know?!)
I have had it for a while. I just started reading it again, and they seemed to fit. So I was having some fun . I wanted to see who would know. Guess what you win the prize . So have a drink on me .
Do know his works or did the Raven give it away?
I have always been a fan of his work . Did a report on his life in middle school for history class, and used the same one for literature class that same year.
Everybody knows literary giant Mr. Haney wrote "The Raven."
As long as we're getting our facts squared away :
"Merchant of Venice?"
Penned by Ice T
The original opening sentence:
"Yo Antonio, check dat boooty homes"
Some of the guys, eh Loco? And let me guess. By 'some of those guys' you'd be referring to... oh, I don't know... ME?!? And by 'thoae with whom they disagree' you possibly mean, you?!? Cause if you are inferring that I personally have been 'coming down hard' on you then I'm gonna have to come down there and beat you up (you might want to pick up a cheap helmet before I get there) 'cause I hate being accused of 'coming down hard' when in fact all I've done is 'pounce' once or thrice!
