Believe it or not the cost of full coverage insurance on my Bird is the same as it was with my 02 America. And in 5k miles and I have loved not having to lube a chain every 600 miles. If I get the seat right, I will have a coast to coast tourer that I can enjoy. After riding it for 6 months, I'm not sure I could go back to an America/Speedmaster.
