Bonneville America Forums Forums Technical Forums General Tech Clacking/Tappping/Rattling sound from engine ?!!

Just tonight I bought a 2007 Speedmaster with 1,100 miles.
Rode it home and there's a tapping/rattling noise coming from the engine. Do the cams or exhaust make a slight noise like that? Or something else. My buddy says it sounds like a lifter but these bikes don't have lifters I think. Thanks.
