Even when riding my brand H bike, I wear my heavy jacket. I have too much invested in artwork to risk having it all scraped off. And, although I'm still not convinced that the safety plusses outweigh the minuses, I wear my lid to reduce the number of bug impacts. Things are just different when you live in a neighborhood zoned for commercial agriculture.
