Sorry, I say you shouldn't do it. IF you really love your bike, then it will be a source of resentment later on down the road, say for instance the first time hard financial times come up. Agreed, this is a big day for your bride, BUT from personal experience, my wife would cut my hand off if I tried to sell my bike for any reason (other than no longer wanting to ride). I've actually contemplated it due to financial circumstances, and she's always been the one to forbid it and argue me out of it. IF worse came to worse and you could afford it, go for a title loan or something like that. A lot of those places are iffy, but read the conditions and if they're fair, then you get the money and keep the bike. Just a thought. Whatever you end up doing though, it should be a decision that you BOTH make together. I haven't read the whole thread, but have you broached the subject with your fiancee to see what she thinks about you sacrificing your bike just to pay for a one day fling (the harsh reality is that it is exactly that, a one day fling)?
