Way to go! We need more of us from the Northwest around here. Which dealer did you buy from?

Congrats again!

I90 Motorsports in Issaquah, WA. I was also considering Lynnwood Cycle Barn as well. However, I was in an unusual situation in that I was going to be gone for most of June and half of July on business overseas. I went to both dealers, before I left, to explain about how I was going to contact them by e-mail and work out a deal long distance. I need the bike and some riding experience under my belt (ie 600 mile service) by the end of July. So I need the bike to be ready as soon as possible so I can get some experience. However, the sales person at Lynnwood did not impress me. He told me how he had a 2006 Speedmaster, blah-blah... When I asked him to start the bike and check out the stock exhaust, he tried to find the where to put the key up by the Speedo. I had to point out to him the location of the key switch back by the seat. That told me he had no idea about the bike and did not really own a Speedmaster.

Frank, at I90 Motorsports was easy to deal with online and did his best to work with me, over the distance. I tried to contact Lynnwood, while on the road, and their response was basically, "We don't deal with online quotes and are not that interested in your business. Call us when you get back and we'll talk." So I basically wrote off Lynnwood. Plus, some others around here had some good things to say about I90 Motorsports.

Unfortunately, I had a little trouble with my bank in trying to arrange the deposit to be sent to I90, so things ended up having to wait until I got back the other day. However, Frank (I90 Motorsports) has bent over backwards to help me and just called to say the bike will be ready tomorrow (Friday) versus Saturday or even early next week. Although, since this will be my first real bike. I'll wait until Saturday AM to get the bike. That way I will have less traffic to deal with, as I learn the bike and try to remember stuff from my MSF course back in Feb.
August 1, I ride down to OR to meet up with my brother and his Sportster. He was the one who gently pushed me into the Triumphs and away from Yamaha. I know he is eager to see the bike as well. We'll have a good time.

Thanks again everyone. Even the Aussies. Some beautiful country and great people down under (even with all that "footy" stuff!), can't wait to (possibly) get back to SA later this year. Go and enjoy me some more of that fine Cooper Sparkling Ale! Wish I could bring my bike along.
