Anyone have "Saddlemen Slant Drifter" bags (already decide on these)in the jumbo size and if so a picture of them on? I'm deciding which size I want to use (Large or Jumbo w/Easy Brackets), I've got pics of the large and want to compare the look of the jumbo. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

There are pix of my Large drifters in my gallery, but I don't have the photo of Dale's bike on the web. If you give me your email address, I can send you the pictures that I sent to Bill.

G2B, Check out this past thread Pat's Trashed Saddlebags for some helpful info on mounting the Saddlemans with Easy brackets. They are really nice bags, I wish I would have put some more forethought into the mounting though. Mine should be getting fixed, if not I will go with a different brand next time.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

get2bill, I have the Jumbo Saddlemen Desperado Slant Saddlebags. The backing of these bags has denigrated over time and forced me to reinforce them. I used Plexiglas to repair them on June 23, 2005, also known as the day the US Supreme Court took away our property rights... I have yet to put any miles on them since the repair. A word of note, Don’t use a 3/16†drill bit on Plexiglas! Use a dremel cutting bit instead…Don’t ask. Here are some pics of the repair. I used EZ Brackets to mount them so if you are hanging them over your fender this issue that us EZ Brackets users have had may not arise!

Now that you know about the backing plate issues, here is a picture of the bags in use.

I did the same thing that Moe did with my jumbo slant drifters except that I used light weight aluminum. I have had little riding time with them since I did the mod, because it has rained for about 14 days straight. However, I like how they sit on the Easy Brackets with the reinforcement. Maybe now I can carry a 6-pack and a battery, right Pat?

On my 2nd set of jumb drifters after the first set backs cracked severely (and not from overloading). Saddlemen replaced them under warranty and suggested I drill through the backs and add addtional support bolts. I drilled thru the backs and added a u-bolt with large washers on each bracket downleg. The bags seem to be pretty well secure now.
