I'm sure that I'll have to get some OEM, parts, like needles and so forth. I am aware that sometimes cheaper isn't always better, being that I was a machinist before becoming a stainless steel welder.Looking for Quality without having to pay dealership overpricing. I've seen somewhere in the forums where some of the members were compiling aftermarket lists to the forums,If so has there been any general consensus (forum) as to whom are leading the Industry in Quality and pricing? This is my last step before I undertake my modifications.(order parts)

Just about anyone around here that manufactures and/or sells stuff is top notch. Here is the short list (in no particular order, except what I can think of off the top of my head):

http://www.srschrome.com
http://www.fasteddysports.com
http://www.newspeedmaster.com
http://www.StreetBoogie.com
http://www.vtsparts.com

There are others, just cant think of them all right now.

In the Tech Vault, there is a whole thread on parts cross referencing such as the Sportster rack that fits the rear fender. Look there first. Also, lots of Hondas use our carbs aparently, so you can get jets etc at a generic shop. If you find out more, let a moderator know and we'll add it to the vault!

I get many generic parts from J&P Cycles. They are excellent people. Great customer service and stand behind thier stuff. I even broke an oil pressure gauge and was my own stupid fault and told them that and they gave me another at a discount. I had also ordered an oil pressure gauge from them another time and it said chrome when I got it only the bezzk
le was polished they let me exchange it for a different gauge the way I wanted it. They paid the return shipping and didn't charge me to have the new one shipped either.
Don't go looking for a gauge that fits Triumph I made a few for myself and others but got the gauge itsself from them.
