Easy Brackets With Luggage Rack and Backrest
Because I have the Triumph luggage rack and short sissy bar on my Speedmaster, the original posts sent would not allow the brackets to even go on. This was due to the extra thickness of the bracket needed for the luggage rack. They are way off of the needed straight vertical line for alignment and proper fit. You can clearly see that the two slotted areas are not even and will not align.
I don't think there is any difference in the sissy bars except for the height. Even if you don't have a sissy bar, the rear posts may need to be this type as that is where the extra bracket comes into play. The sissy bar is actually not an issue since it never even contacts the fender or any of the Easy Bracket parts at all.
This shot shows how far the the brackets are off from proper fit. The green arrow points to where it will not align. There is about a 1/4" difference in fit.
Here is the new and an original rear docking post side by side. I called Tom at Easy Brackets Technical Support { 866-521-3024 }and he made these up for me and shipped them out right away.
Here is a shot of the original front posts and the new rear posts on the bike. Now you can easily see that they are in proper alignment now.
Tada! Here's the left side all connected. They slipped right on with the new rear posts, no effort at all and very smooth operation.
