Carb Jetting Instructions For CVK Carbs

Drain the float bowls and then remove the carb bottoms.

First you need to drain the gas from each carb float bowl. Take the tin can/bowl you have and place it under one of the carbs. On the very bottom of each carb there is a small nipple where the gas will drain out. (See the bottom right picture) Be sure you place your container so it will catch the gas and not spill it anywhere. Hold the carbs upright while draining the gas. On the side of each of these nipples is a very small allen screw. (Indicated by the side arrow on the bottom right picture) Simply loosen the screw and the gas will quickly drain out of each carb. Do them one at a time, then move on to the next one. Once you have drained the float bowls, tighten the drain screws.
Now remove the 4 small screws on the bottoms of each carb and pull the float bowls completely off. Notice the alignment for re-installation. The arrows on the left picture show the proper curves and where they need to go when replacing the bowls later. Do not mix them up! Use the same float bowl that came off each carb, they will not fit right if you mix them up. The drain screws are different on each one.
On to the next step.
