Carb Shimming Instructions For CVK Carbs

Replacing the carb tops.

Carefully secure the tops back onto the carbs. When placing the top on, be sure that you get the retaining spring back into it's holder in the top, as pictured below.

Also be very careful with he black rubber diaphrams, they must be seated properly in their races and the top should fit nice and flat once held in place. If the tops are not flat, remove them and align the rubber if needed very carefully and try again. DO NOT force this on, it should go nice and easy.
Be sure to hold the tops with your hand as you put the screws back in so the spring tension will not push the top off and maybe misalign the rubber. Back to the First Carb Page.
