Carb Shimming Instructions For CVK Carbs

Remove the retainer spring

Once you have the top off, there is a long spring on the inside of each carb that you just lift out carefully. Be careful not to disturb the black rubber diaphram on the top of the carbs, they needs to be perfectly positioned for re-assembly. When you pull the spring out you will note it has a plastic retainer on the bottom, the legs on this retainer should be on the bottom.

On the right picture you see the spring/retainer assembly being removed. Also note in the upper right of the picture the location for the auxiliary 12 volt power connector. On to the next step.
